Since 2008, R.E, Dimond and Associates have engineered projects and exhibits at the Indianapolis Zoo.
This trusted relationship has led to the design of various building systems in the Oceans’ Building including the Penguin and Crab- Eating Macaque exhibits to the most recent air-handling unit (AHU) replacement.
The viewing area’s air-handling unit was over 30 years old, and the equipment was beyond life expectancy. R.E. Dimond and Associates provided mechanical and electrical design to replace the 5,000 CFM unit at the west end of the building , addressing building pressure issues with significant control strategies to handle humidity.
R.E. Dimond and Associates has also provided design services for the Cheetah Exhibit, Lion Exhibit, Tiger Exhibit, and Indianapolis Zoo Gift Shop.
