Long-lasting, efficient building cooling
A water-cooled chilled water system delivers efficient cooling for your building. They’re ideal for large residential and commercial buildings as they eliminate excess heat, even in sun-soaked or high-temperature rooms like commercial kitchens.
Get all the benefits of a superior chilled water cooling system
Water-cooled systems operate at lower condensing temperatures because water is a better conductor of heat than air.
Chilled water systems typically come in one of three types:
Reciprocating chillers circulate refrigerant that absorbs heat from the water loop and discharges it to a second, separate condenser loop connected to a cooling tower.
Screw chillers use a compressor to handle refrigeration. These also transfer heat from water circulated through the building to a cooling tower, but because of their size are best for larger buildings.
Water-cooled centrifugal chillers use a centrifugal compressor to refrigerate water. These are also most commonly used in large commercial or industrial buildings.
All of these systems rely on a cooling tower to dissipate heat extracted from water. An engineer can help you determine which is best for your building, given its size, location, and the costs of available resources in your area.
High-capacity cooling for high-capacity buildings
Water-cooled chilled water systems are best suited for projects where typical air-cooled HVAC systems are impractical because of their size or square footage requirements and when you need high-capacity cooling.
Buildings like The Pearl in Fort Wayne are good examples. Sun-facing spaces, a restaurant, and a large event venue room contribute heat in concentrated and sometimes inconsistent ways. Using a water-cooled chilled water delivery system, we can re-circulate those temperatures across the building.

Water-cooled systems enjoy high efficiency, lower energy and resource usage than air-cooled systems, and a long lifespan.
Since most water cooling systems have hardware placed inside the building and out of the weather, they’ll last even longer than traditional outdoor HVAC units, too.
We also have extensive knowledge of air-cooled chilled water system designs.
