The city of Lebanon is looking to add to the growing sports tourism movement in Boone County. The city has announced a partnership with Noblesville-based Card & Associates Athletic Facilities to develop a $25 million multi-sport venue that Mayor Matt Gentry says will “not only bring thousands of visitors to Lebanon, but also add a much-needed amenity for current Lebanon residents.”
The project is part of a planned hospitality and entertainment district that will include two hotels, as well as residential, retail, and medical office space.
The district, which will span 95 acres near I-65 and State Road 39, is being rolled out in multiple phases with the first representing a $113 million investment that will include the sports fieldhouse, a residential community, and city infrastructure and utilities work.
Completion of the project is expected in 2024.
