R.E. Dimond and Associates received Indy Chamber’s 2019 Achievement Award for the MEP design of the James J. Fritts Dental Clinic Indiana University School of Dentistry during the annual Monumental Awards ceremony.
R.E. Dimond and Associates worked with Ratio Architects to provide mechanical, plumbing and fire suppression systems at the Dental School’s new oral care clinic.
The 45,000 SF addition brings a contemporary, state-of-the-art building to the 136-year-old dentistry school. With buildings dating from the 1930’s to the 1970’s, the high-tech learning center connects four buildings with a courtyard and glass walkways, and includes 125 operatories, an endodontic suite, spacious patient waiting rooms, registration area and an extended hours clinic.
Energy saving design in educational healthcare setting resulted in the school being awarded the LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building.
The School of Dentistry is a community resource and will provide world-class dental education, research and clinical care for central Indiana.
R.E. Dimond and Associates was also proud to have The Phoenix Theatre recognized as an Indy Chamber 2019 Architectural winner. R.E. Dimond and Associates partnered with Ratio on this outstanding project including the custom wallpaper on the wall.
