R.E. Dimond and Associates is providing full mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and telecommunications design for the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 103 Training and Office Facility in Chesterfield, Indiana. The project expands and modernizes the existing training campus for heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and other skilled trades professionals represented by Local 103.

Scope: Full MEPT Design
The facility includes a 13,000-square-foot office and classroom building and an additional 22,000 square feet of classroom and training space to support apprenticeship and continuing education programs. The new and renovated spaces are designed to accommodate hands-on instruction, administrative functions, and technology-integrated learning environments.
R.E. Dimond’s engineering scope includes energy-efficient HVAC systems, modern lighting and power distribution, advanced telecommunications infrastructure, and upgraded plumbing systems to meet current training demands. Coordination with the design team and contractor ensures the systems align with the Union’s long-term training goals and sustainability standards. Construction is ongoing and scheduled for completion in November 2025.
