Construction Completion Winter 2020

Construction Cost $14,000,000

Building Project Summary:

Design: As the final component of Sycamore Towers renovation, the connecting 35,000 SF Dining Room renovation completes the project and expands the project by 5,000 SF for more efficient
operation that serves over 1000 students.

Challenge: Updating dining hall HVAC with demand controlled ventilation and connection to the campus central chilled water plant.

Solution: Five single zone large HVAC variable units provide air for dining hall and 3D modeling indicated how a precast T band roof system would accommodate the piping and improve the thermal envelope.

Electrical and Technology design included voice, data, security, A/V, fire alarm, interior and exterior lighting and power. Domestic water was reworked and existing sprinkler system was extended into the renovated kitchen.
