Building Project Summary:
R.E. Dimond and Associates provided MEP design services for the renovation of the 1940’s Indiana State University Fine Arts building which included replacement of critical mechanical and electrical systems that had become obsolete.
Challenges included maintaining the historical facade of the building while updating MEP systems and improving building egress and accessibility.
Solutions included a custom-designed air handling unit that was built in place to accommodate the tight space and historic fabric of the building. The system also includes VAV system zoning, LED Lighting and occupancy controls, a DDC control system, and a fire sprinkler with a diesel generator fire pump.
Telecommunication design included IT/AV and Communications.
