Building Project Summary:
R.E. Dimond and Associates provided MEP design services for multiple renovations at Knobview Hall and Ogle Center on the Indiana University Southeast campus in New Albany, Indiana.
New HVAC system design consolidated boiler plans from Ogle to Knobview and domestic water from Knobview to Ogle.
Design focused on ease of maintenance, serviceability, redundancy, and energy efficiency. Replacement of the existing modular boilers included a re-pipe of the mechanical room, replacement of existing boilers stack with venting designed for condensing boiler operation, and addition of combustion intake vent, concrete pad placement, boiler condensate drain, heating water pumps, and control system to control the boilers.
R.E. Dimond also provided library renovation as well as a phased three-stack restroom renovation with sensor-operated faucets.
