Size: 27,000 SF
Construction Completed: Spring, 2017
Building Project Summary:
R.E. Dimond and Associates provided Mechanical and Electrical design for a major upgrade and HVAC renovation at Jordan Hall on the Indiana University Bloomington campus.
Jordan Hall is the primary teaching and research facility for the Department of Biology and contains a variety of laboratories, lecture spaces, offices and greenhouses.
The renovation covered approximately 27,000 sf on multiple floors of the southwest side of the building. These spaces are primarily laboratories and offices which are served by System 13.
System 13 is on of many exhaust and make-up air systems within the building. Design included the replacement or addition of terminal supply boxes and exhaust valves, replacement of distribution ductwork, replacement of System 13 exhaust fan, replacement of heating water distribution pumps, extension of heating water system and addition of zone temperature and pressure control for all labs and offices.
Lab renovations will allow multiple researchers to collaborate on projects in a more flexible, modern, comfortable and safe environment.
